Magnolia, Love of Nature, Loathing of Technology, 2017

Stoneware, watercolour pigment, magnolia seeds.

A series of 12 ceramic bases and plinths dedicated to seeds collected from my garden. A short dictionary of meanings of each seed in the Victorian tradition of Floriography- assigning symbolic meaning to flowers. 

Shown as part of group exhibition 'Gardening is not a Rational Act at c3 Contemporary Art Space, Abbotsford.
